Afton Files Afton Files is a fan-made FNAF VHS analog horror series centered by Sekrates the story is about around William Afton, Remnant, and the supernatural consequences of his experiments. The series presents its story through recovered VHS tapes, police recordings, employee tapes, investigations, and other archival footage. As the story progresses, the tapes gradually reveal the truth behind Afton's experiments, the missing children, the connection between Remnant and human souls, and the events surrounding the Afton family. The first season consists of eight episodes, with information and clues scattered throughout the tapes. Earlier events are often recontextualized by later episodes, with the eighth episode providing major explanations for mysteries established throughout the season. The story eventually expands beyond Afton himself, introducing investigators, religious figures, members of the Afton family, and other characters whose stories become connected through death, Remnant, and Afton's actions. Afton Files is presented as an alternate fan interpretation of the FNAF universe, using VHS-style horror and mystery to explore the darker side of William Afton's story.
